At DAVA, we are proud of the experience and professionalism each of our Teachers and Team Members possess. Did you know our staff is filled with highly educated and experienced personnel to carry your class to the next level of dance, exercise and artistry. Our staff are ready to share such great talent and technique with each of our students of all ages and abilities.

Amy Tehovnik
Miss Amy has been dancing since she could walk! She began taking class in Minnesota and then continued when her family moved to Northern Virginia. She then enrolled at The Dance Place in Pennsylvania and graduated from Star Styled Dance Center where she was blessed to be a student teacher her senior year and begin learning about the business of operating a dance studio. Her colligate journey began with the Dance Team at California Univ. of PA, where she rejuvenated the basketball season dance squad performers, the Vulcanette's and as President of the club, put systems in place that continue the legacy! Miss Amy then transferred to Univ. of Maryland to graduate with a Dance Degree. She danced for Alvin Mayes, Maurice Fraga, Veronika Farkas and LeeAnet Noble with Team Vicious/Noble Stepz in her performing career. Miss Amy also performed with VF Dance Company for multiple productions through 2013-2015 and joined collaborations with many artists and other young dancers. Miss Amy was blessed to teach at Daydream Dance, Imagination Stage, HST Homeschool Arts and District Dance Company while living in Maryland. Living in Warren County for the past few years she has taught recreational classes whenever possible, Miss Amy is the Mom of a middle schooler, 2 dogs and is engaged! She is certified in Zumba for the past 12 years and is looking forward to bringing her variety of experience and expertise to DAVA!

Xandra Grenier
Miss Xandra joins us from Fredericksburg, VA where she performed as a hip hop and musical theater artist with school and her dance company. She has years of experience dancing and choreographing as well as a passion for performing. Miss Xandra will be team teaching with Miss Amy this Summer and looks to add a few teen classes in the Fall!
Teacher / Kids and Special Needs
Carolyn Fink
Miss Carolyn has been dancing since the age of three! She was born in Fairfax, Virginia, and grew up in Alexandria, VA. Miss Carolyn attended Duke Ellington School of The Arts in Washington, D.C. for High School, where she majored in Dance and graduated with Honors. Miss Carolyn began Student Teaching at the age of 12 at Chris Collins Dance Studio in Alexandria, VA, and continued to Student Teach there until her graduation from Duke Ellington. Miss Carolyn then attended Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, New York, with a “Guest Year” at George Washington University in Washington, D.C., her Junior Year. She graduated from Sarah Lawrence College with Honors and a B.A. in Dance and Early Childhood Education. She owned her own Dance Studio for 11 years, Steppin’ Out! Dance Studio, in Woodbridge, VA. Miss Carolyn was also a Washington Redskinette Cheerleader and Dance Squad Member for four seasons!
In addition to her Professional Career as an NFL Cheerleader, she also danced professionally with Maurice Hines and “Weird Al” Yankovic. Miss Carolyn was a 2’s Class Teacher for two years before becoming the Assistant Director at Pender Hill School in Fairfax, Virginia, for 15 years. Miss Carolyn has been teaching dance to children and adults with disabilities for over 21 years. She is qualified to teach individuals with Down Syndrome, Autism, Brain Injury, Smith Magennis Syndrome, and other disabilities.
Miss Carolyn and her family moved from Fairfax, Virginia, to Middletown,
Virginia, in January 2024.

Kristin Denton
Miss Kristin is joining our team as the areas most sought after tap instructor! She comes to us from over 2 decades of dance teaching experience and is excited to join the Dance & Arts VA, LLC team in providing quality dance education for all of our students.

Dance Classes
Our core dance classes offer technique and choreography with recital opportunities for the dancers to showcase their skills. These classes are taught by educated and experienced instructors who thrive on dance education for their students while facilitating a fun environment for all students to learn to love to dance!

Adult Classes and Special Events
Get ready to move with us! Adult classes are being formed, just in time for the weekend, and offer a variety of dance and/or fitness styles to spice up the class. Special events are planned throughout the season to encourage all dancers to learn something new, get to know their dance friends and explore their interest in all art forms!

Our Studio is growing and we thank all of our students, parents and dancing dragons for their patience with our growth.

We believe that dance is for everyone! It can be therapeutic, enhance social skills, help with coordination and enhance learning in all academics. The art of dance is not always accessible for everyone, if you have a dancer, but not the means to sign up for class, please let us know and we will direct you to options available to help in our area. We love our Warren County community and look forward to sharing our love of dance.
